Ok ok, I admit it. I’m on a market high. But I can’t help myself! There’s too many good markets on right now. And I think this one might be the one. Did you read that name? It kinda says it all. And if you’re anything like me (a sucker for design + markets) then this is your go-to place this weekend.
The market is set in beautiful Royal Exhibition Building, which means the visit is worthwhile to go there just to have a look the absolutely beautiful building. Although this is not why I’m heading there this weekend. Uh oh. I’m going there for all the stuff. There will be more than 200 designers on display, with wares ranging from fashion and accessories to textiles, kids products, stationary and homewares.
If you get hungry or thirsty there’s plenty on offer. With one microbrewery, two food vendors, a coffee shop and even two food trucks, you’ll surely leave a little fatter and a little happier. Just the way we like it.
Also, if you do have kids – bring ‘em along. The market is family friendly, with a kid’s play space as well as extra wide aisles, so you can stop and chat with people you know, or simply have a break mid aisle. Kids do that, you know. Break in weird places. And there’s room for all that!
I plan to head on over to get most of my christmas shopping done. What about you, are you going?
