Did you know, that one of the founding fathers of our beloved Melbourne was a publican, our first mayor was a brewer and the first council meeting happened in a pub?
True story! No wonder this city is a little ‘obsessed’ and fascinated with beer and microbrews.
We’ve found the perfect tour/event for all you beer lovers out there
If you happen to be a bit of a beer connoisseur, we might have found just the perfect event for you.
The Beer Lovers Guide to Melbourne is a fun and informal tour of this city’s fascination with beer from the first settlement, anecdotes from the first ever pub in town, the growth of the city’s laneways bars to samples of an array of craft beers made within the state.
The tour includes four stops at relevant establishments where you will try a delicious beer with a focus on Melbourne and Victorian microbreweries. The tour also concludes with a delicious burger supper.
Sounds like heaps of fun, doesn’t it! Definitly something to lighten up your mood during winter!
